The Fernie RV Resort is conveniently located in town and operates year-round. Mt Fernie Provincial Park Campground is located halfway between town and Fernie Alpine Resort and offers secluded forested sites and washroom facilities from June to September. Kikomum Creek Provincial Park is approximately 30 minutes drive, located next to Lake Koocanusa and Surveyors Lake, also open June to September.

Several unserviced, primarily backcountry, Forest Service Campgrounds are around the valley as well during the summer months.
