Our goal is to help you plan the best possible Fernie Fly Fishing adventure! We aim to connect people with our local fishery in a meaningful and personal way. We hope to inspire our guests to become more actively involved in conservation and preservation. Among anything else our biggest goal is to catch fish and have fun!

Fernie Fly Fishing transports you away from any signs of civilization into the tranquil, pristine wilderness of the Canadian Rockies to fish some of the area's most sought after rivers, creeks and lakes.

Located in the historic downtown core; the family at GearHub supports working towards building a stronger community and it was an easy choice for our new location!

Sustainable Development & Fly Fishing Skills Camp For Ages 10 - 18

August 14 - 21 2016 $2,950

  • Based on the lush Elk River and its many tributaries, students learn fly-casting, knot tying, entomology and reading water.
  • Students will participate in conservation efforts with the Elk River Alliance and British Columbia's Wildsight Foundation. Visiting mine sites and affected mining areas, students will learn about the impacts and balance between industry and recreation.
  • Daily backpacking into wolrd class tributaries, students delve more intot he impacts of invasive plant, wildlife and human impacts while integrating their fly fishing skills on some of the best fishing waters in Canada.
