The Fernie Chamber of Commerce manages two Visitor Information Center locations: on the highway at the Chamber of Commerce Building, and at the Fernie Museum.
The downtown location is open 7 days a week, year-round, CLOSED Dec 24, 25 & Jan 1. The highway location is open 5 days a week and on weekends in the summer months Closed Dec 25 & Jan 1. Both locations provide maps, travel info and visitor resources.
The Information Centre has been set-up to enable visitors to source information whilst travelling around our Province and beyond. Stop by or call. Visitors seeking information online about tourism are to visit www.tourismfernie.com
The Centre has a large parking area, washroom facilities, picnic tables, and a dog walking area. We are fortunate to be situated at the trailhead of Fairy Creek and Mount Proctor trails. Our Visitor Centre includes a ‘Nature Centre’ which helps educate people and creates an awareness and respect for our natural surroundings.
Amongst the extensive range of free local information offered at the Centre a wide range of local maps, books and some local gifts are available for sale.
We are pleased to offer a Sani-Dump facility for RV travellers. We are located on the east-side of Fernie on Highway 3 and also have representation in the Fernie Museum located in the downtown.
