Small rocky beach by camping sites.  Small day use parking areas for swimming and paddling. Fees apply for camping and an operator is present on site. This site can be busy in the summer but is a great spot to cool off. Small wooden platform off beach for jumping off of.

Electric motors only on the lake.

How to Get to Loon Lake from Fernie - Approx. 55km/45 minute drive

Drive south along Highway 3 from Fernie towards the town of Elko (approx. 30 km or 20 min from Fernie). Continue past Elko and turn left on Highway 93 (this junction is right by the big Hwy 3/93 Dairy Bar/Ice Cream Stand).

Continue south Hwy 93 for approximately 24 kms to the Grasmere General Store and turn right immediately after the store, you will see a sign for Loon Lake.  Follow road a short ways, an old school will show up on your left, take the next right, another sign will indicate the direction to Loon Lake.  From there the road is a dirt road, and is fine for 2-wheel drive vehicles and trailers (not not massive size trailers).  Follow until you arrive, the road will narrow and be bumpy in spots.
