Fernie Mountain Bike Club was established in 1990 by a group of riders who would meet weekly to go on evening rides.
Since then the club has grown into an active an important part of Fernie’s biking culture, ensuring the long term development and maintenance of our valuable community asset.
All summer FMBC have been running their weekly 2knee race series. Held on Tuesday evenings, local riders look forward to the relaxed racing and post ride socialising, always involving a well deserved beer or two.
The biking season isn’t done yet and the club have more events to keep everyone riding well into September. Coming up this weekend to finish the month off is Wam Bam Dirt Jump Jam! A great spectacle to see locals and visiting riders showcase their dirt jumping skills with the big crowds.
September will see the Little Critters Criterium on Monday the 8th and a local favourite, the Project 9 Race on September the 9th. If full face helmets and body armour is more your style then the Dirt Diggler Fall Classic will satisfy all your downhill needs and to finish off September, why not take a gamble on the High Roller Poker Ride.
