About the Fenie Ghostriders:
The Fernie Ghostriders are a Junior B Hockey Team, playing in the Eddie Mountain Division of the Kootenay International Junior Ice Hockey League. Head Coach is Craig Mohr. The Ghostrider name comes from the icon shadow that forms at sunset on Mt Hosmer in Fernie, and is clearest at the start of the hockey season (and during the summer months).
They last won the division during the 2011/2012 season and last won the KIJHL in the 2007/2008 season, going on to take the bronze medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup. They were the Cyclone Taylor Cup Hosts (KIJHL, PIJHL & VIJHL Provincial Championships) for the 2010/2011 Season, where they took the silver medal.
Always popular and often sold out, local games are a fun night out for the whole family with plenty of great hockey action, beverage gardens, concessions, merchandise booth and regular special events including the teddy bear toss and diamond ring prize draw games.
