Exploring the underbelly of a ski town through the eyes of three local artists who live, breathe, and create in Fernie.
Every resort town does its best to put a good foot forward, and why not? The more people visit the more sustainable a town is. But for every resort town, there is a Back Story.
his evening will mark the opening of a group show at the Angela Morgan Studio/Clawhammer Press gallery that tells that Back Story through the eyes of three painters: Angela Morgan, Michael Hepher, and Jamie McCallum.
The opening will exhibit new works by these artists who live and work in Fernie and see the everyday grind that visitors don't. The back alleys, the grey springs, the long-time residents balancing growth and change... all of these things tell a story that contributes to the authenticity, the grit, and the reality of Fernie.
All works produced for the show will be for sale at the opening but will remain at the gallery for the duration of the show (TBD).
