It's the annual FMBC freeride competition at the Fernie Dirt Jump Park

TENTATIVE EVENT SCHEDULE:

The event takes place at the Fernie Dirt Jump Park next to the Fernie Aquatic Centre, Pine Ave.

Friday:

  • Park open dawn till dusk for public and open practice
  • 6:00pm - 7:30pm On-site Late Registration (on-site payment options: cash or e-transfer only)
  • 8:00pm - 10:00pm Light test and practice session on the mulch jump

Saturday:

  • 12:00pm - 3:30pm On-site Check-In (all competitors must check-in) & Late Registration (on-site payment options: cash or e-transfer only)
  • 3:30pm - 10:00pm Park closed to public use rest of the day and evening, spectators welcome
  • 4:00pm RUN BIKES
  • 4:15pm BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE YOUTH (Jam)
  • 5:00pm ADVANCED YOUTH (Jam)
  • 6:15pm OPEN WOMEN & MEN (Aged 15 & up)
  • 7:00pm Official Practice for Pro Women & Men
  • 7:30pm FMB PRO Women & Men (must be FMB licenced)
  • 9:00pm BEST TRICK (Jam) - Advanced Youth first then Adults
  • 10:00pm End of event

This year plans to continue with the FMB World Tour Bronze Level event and Best Trick Comp under the lights! This event is great to watch for spectators with DJ tunes, food and more on-site. The afternoon starts with little groms, including a run-bike event, then progresses with age and ability, ending with the advanced/pro riders and FMB Bronze Level points competition for cash prizes and Best Trick comp under the lights. It's a day of great entertainment and competition at the Dirt Jump Park next to the Fernie Aquatic Centre. All proceeds from the event go back to the park to help develop local athletes and improve the park.

Non-licensed FMB competitors will be required to have a Fernie Mountain Bike Club event membership for $10 or regular season membership for insurance coverage purposes.
