The Fernie Chamber of Commerce manages two Visitor Information Centre locations in town to help visitors.
The primary Visitor Centre is on Highway 3 just east of town by the Oil Derrick at the Chamber of Commerce Building, their hours change seasonally.
Highway Visitor Centre Hours: Open Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Starting December 3rd, for the ski season, they will also be open on Saturday's from 9:00am to 4:00pm. They are closed Sundays and Holidays including December 24, 25th, Jan 1st.
The Fernie Museum in Historic Downtown on the corner of 2nd Avenue & 5th Street is the other Visitor Centre.
Historic Downtown Museum & Visitor Centre Hours: Open daily from 10:00am to 5:30pm. Closed December 24, 25, Jan 1st, Easter Sunday and Nov 11th.

The Centre has a large parking area, washroom facilities, picnic tables, and a dog walking area. We are fortunate to be situated at the trailhead of Fairy Creek and Mount Proctor trails.
Amongst the extensive range of free local information offered at the Centre a wide range of local maps, books and some local gifts are available for sale.
We are pleased to offer a Sani-Dump facility for RV travellers.
