FERNIE PACKS A POWDER PUNCH SURPASSING THE 700 CM MARK EVEN EARLIER THAN LAST SEASON
This winter season Fernie Alpine Resort has received even more snow to date than last year’s record season! Over 23 feet of snow has fallen so far, leaving last winter’s record in the dust – and last season ended with a total of over 37 feet! The recent snowstorm has slammed Fernie with 50 cms in 48 hours this week and a total of 90cms in 7 days.
“The amazing fact is how frequent snowstorms hit Fernie”, says Matt Mosteller, VP of Sales & Marketing at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, “Fernie gets more snow and more frequent storms that any ski resort in the Canadian Rockies”, he continued.
