Surveyors Lake is a perfect swimming spot for those hot summer days.

Only 30-minute drive south-west of Fernie, Surveyors Lake is easy to get to and is within Kikomun Creek Provincial Park, a well-maintained BC Park that also houses a large campground for tenting and RV's.

The lake is warm with sandy beaches with lots of trees on the edges of the sandy beaches for shade on a sunny hot day. The lake is non-motorized; day-use is open to all visitors. There is a trail that goes around the lake where you can spot Painted Turtles. Please be sure not to disturb them. No dogs are allowed on the beaches and in the lake and must be on a leash anywhere else in the Park.

Located in a dry sunny area of the province, this Provincial Park preserves an example of Interior Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine forest and grassland habitat. Paved roads within this family-oriented park are conducive to biking. The map of the Park details the location of the lake and three separate camping areas. The Park is located alongside Lake Koocanusa a large popular lake for motorized boating.
