Fernie 3

Monday • June 9, 2014

Things have been drying out nicely in Fernie over the past month, allowing for riders to blow out those winter cobwebs and get back on the bike.

Don’t be fooled, this diverse biking destination caters for all styles of riders.

Fernie has a big summer of biking ahead. The first event for the 2014 calendar will be the Fernie 3, starting on June 28th. This iconic three-day stage race has transformed from the original TransRockies TR3 race, giving riders a chance to test their legs riding on some of the best single track in British Columbia with an all-mountain style course.

The Fernie 3 will also be complemented by the Roll and Sole Festival on the same weekend. Fernie Trails Alliance are behind this new initiative, celebrating all things trail and all things Fernie. From guided bike and hiking trips, bike throwing contests, kids events and beer gardens, it is sure to kick off the “official” summer biking season with a bang.

Adding to this weekend, the Fernie Alpine Resort Bike Park opens! This weekend will be nothing but action packed.

With a large percentage of trails good to go, come to Fernie and see what this unique Canadian Rockies mountain town has to offer! Need that extra push?  Get your entry in for the Fernie 3 and commit to three days of epic riding, entertainment and good times!
