A new festival celebrating the trees and forests of the Elk Valley and beyond.

The forests around Fernie feature Old Growth West Coast Red Cedars, Ancient Cottonwoods, Mature Larch and a wide variety of other evergreen and deciduous trees. Teeming with flora, fauna, and fungi, the forests of the Elk Valley are fascinating ecosystems and an essential component to the local way of life. 

The festival will include a delightful, interactive, schedule of events including a speaker series, family activities, woodcrafts, live music, guided forest walks, and more!
