Tentative start date for trail grooming on the Coal Creek / Morrissey trail system.
Undoubtedly one of Fernie’s most popular and easily accessible sledding areas, the Rolling Hills area offers expansive riding options for all abilities centered around a well equipped warming hut. Follow the wide, groomed trail from the Coal Creek staging area for 16km to the Rolling Hills Cabin.
Many families and beginners enjoy this as an out and back trip or stay and play a while in the open cut blocks immediately behind the hut. Continue winding South through the forest on the Doug Dean Trail to access more technical glade and meadow riding in the Rolling Hills or stay on the trail to link up with the Wranglers/Morrissey network.
