Rod MacIntyre has published poetry, novels and several plays. His latest title, Mahihkan Lake was a finalist for the 2016 Saskatchewan Book Awards for Fiction. He was a founding member of PUC (now the Playwrights Guild of Canada) and the WGC (Writers Guild of Canada). Rod will lead a multi-genre workshop.

TUITION: $250 (Federation of BC Writers members receive a 10% discount).
YOUTH TUITION: $50
Meals and lodging are the responsibility of the attendee.
Payment will be due on arrival. Cash, cheque or credit card accepted.
Fernie Lodging Company offers special rates (roughly 30% off normal rates) to Mini-Conference attendees and their guests. Workshops will be held on-site.
7 pm, Friday: Opening reception for participants and instructors.
9 am - 3:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday: Workshop Sessions (break for lunch included, lunch at participants own arrangement).
Sessions are limited to 8 participants. A waitlist will be available if sessions fill.
Workshops will be held in the Centennial Room at King Fir Lodge, Fernie Lodging Company at Fernie Alpine Resort.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Fernie Writers Conference and the Tamarack Workshop Society (a BC non-profit society) offer graduate-style writers workshops open to writers of all abilities. The workshops focus on developing craft and bringing the writer to a new awareness in their work.
