October 4: Wildcrafting

  • For centuries people have crafted useful objects from nature. Discover what you can make from items in your backyard. Get creative with Wild Nature Tours, a Wildsight Elk Valley venture.
  • **Please bring a small mason jar full of olive oil. All other supplies will be provided.
  • Dee Holden is honoured to be back in beautiful Fernie to facilitate this Autumn Wildcrafting Session. Participants will make a Calendula oil as well as a Comfrey, Calendula, and Self Heal salve to take home with them. An Autumn evening walk will follow to meet our Plant & Tree friends in the neighbourhood while the salve cools. It's a special thing to get to know Nature in all its seasons, nature mirroring our own turning in as the plants begin their journey back down and in.

Dee Holden is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Family Herbalist.
