TREK Dirt Series host Women's Only MTB Camp

Wednesday • April 9, 2014

Four incredible Trek Dirt Series coaches, as well as both our Program Manager and Program Coordinator, have chosen to call Fernie home. It has something to do with the powder that lines the winters, but also the fantastic riding opportuninites that fill the summers. Fernie offers something for everyone into mountain biking - cross-country through downhill, and beginner through advanced.

The camp will be hosted by the Guides Hut, which has easy access to a huge range of trails right from their front door. Our plan is to focus on the great cross-country and freeride trails in the valley (including some that we can shuttle) but to also offer the opportunity for lift accessed riding up at Fernie Alpine Resort for those who are interested.

Local terrain includes classic singletrack, roots, rocks, logs and bridges, as well as the addition of machine-built table tops and berms at the resort. Fernie is only three hours from Calgary, AB, and two from Kalispell, MT.

If you already live here, we'd love to help you tweak your skills so that you can get even more enjoyment out of your own trails. And if you don't, well, we hope you'll find it quite easy to convince yourself to come!
