Following the advice provided by the Provincial Government Health Authorities, RCR has decided to require proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record to access all chair lifts and indoor facilities at our resorts this winter. This decision has been made with the goal of providing you, our guests, our staff, and our resort communities with the safest environment possible.
The below information is from Fernie Alpine Resort's website on November 1st
HOW DO SEASON PASS HOLDERS VERIFY THEIR COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD STATUS?
Winter Season Pass holders who have a valid email on file will receive an email to upload your Provincially issued COVID-19 Immunization Record QR code. RCR will cross-reference the information that is on file. Once all requirements are successfully verified (Waiver and Photo), your pass will scan at resort chair lifts.
HOW DO RCR ROCKIES CARD HOLDERS VERIFY THEIR COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD STATUS?
RCR Rockies Card holders (Direct-to-Lift) who have a valid email on file will receive an email to upload your Provincially issued COVID-19 Immunization Record QR code. RCR will cross-reference the information that is on file. Once all requirements are successfully verified (Waiver and Photo), your pass will scan at resort chair lifts.
What will be required when showing proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record status at the resorts?
HOW DO ONLINE LIFT TICKET OR OTHER PRE-PURCHASE VOUCHERS/COUPON CODE HOLDERS VERIFY THEIR VACCINATION STATUS?
All Pre-purchased product holders will need to bring their proof of purchase to the appropriate Guest Services Ticket office. Once their proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record has been verified, a lift ticket will be issued.
ONCE I HAVE A SINGLE OR MULTI-DAY LIFT TICKET, DO I NEED TO SHOW MY COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD TO ENTER RESORT BUILDING OR ACCESS CHAIR LIFTS?
Any guest with a valid lift ticket affixed to their person will be able to access indoor facilities and chair lifts. RCR reserves the right to spot-check COVID-19 Immunization Record status at any time. Please ensure you have your COVID-19 Immunization Record and matching government issue ID with a photo on your person.
HOW DO SINGLE & MULTI-DAY LIFT TICKET PURCHASERS VERIFY THEIR PROOF OF COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD STATUS?
Any guests wanting to ski/ride and planning to buy a lift ticket will need to visit the appropriate resort ticket office.
DO I HAVE TO SHOW PROOF OF COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD STATUS EVERY VISIT?
Guests purchasing single & multi-day lift products will be required to show proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record status. If you plan to visit the resort multiple days, you may buy an RCR Rockies Card (Direct-to-Lift) that will allow you to upload.
WHAT ABOUT GUESTS WHO WERE BORN AFTER 2010?
Guests aged 0-11 are not required to show proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record.
WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL OR RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION?
Medical or religious exemptions will be considered; however, requests must be submitted four (4) weeks before the date of your resort visit. Exemptions will only be approved if RCR believes that we can ensure the safety of other guests and staff.
CAN I PROVIDE A NEGATIVE TEST FORM WITHIN 72 HOURS TO ACCESS FACILITIES?
To ensure efficiency at our ticket offices, we will not be accepting negative tests.
WILL LIFT CAPACITY BE RESTRICTED AT THE RESORTS?
Proof of COVID-19 Immunization Record and safety measurements have been put in place in partnership with Provincial Health Authorities to ensure we can operate at full capacity.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND ON MY SEASON PASS, ROCKIES CARD OR OTHER RCR PRODUCT IF I AM UNCOMFORTABLE WITH PROVIDING MY COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION RECORD?
Please review our refund options if you have purchased a product with RCR for the upcoming winter season and are uncomfortable with our policy. Please note that you must submit your refund request on or before December 15th, 2021.
Due to the ongoing uncertainty the pandemic has created, RCR reserves the right to amend its policies at any time.
