FWA float the many rivers and tributaries in the area, including the Elk, Flathead, Wigwam and Bull Rivers. These waters boast an abundance of Bull Trout, some weighing up to 20 lbs! Whether on a drift boat or walk and wade, the fishing in the area is second to none.
Established in 1986, Fernie Wilderness Adventures has year-round exceptional experiences, including catskiing in the winter and guided fly fishing and wildlife viewing during the rest of the year. Their one goal is to provide their clients with an exceptional outdoor experience.

Lake fishing is a great way to experience the Rockies in a different and unique way. Spring is the peak season for Largemouth Bass that are scattered in several local lakes in the beautiful Fernie area. Large Blackwater and Gerrard strain rainbow trout are also targeted by anglers looking to get out following the long winter.
