An alternate space for skateboarding has been allocated at the Lions Club Shelter at Prentice Park. The entrance to the park is located near to the Elk Valley Hospital at 1490 5th Ave. The park also features ball diamonds, a running track, and public washrooms.

An excellent spot for the skateboarder or BMXer in your family. The outdoor park features several bowls and streetscapes including a tight snake run with two bowls (The Death Skillet and The Wok), 6ft halfpipe, 8ft quarter pipe with banks, tight and mellow banks, funboxes, volcano, and rails!
