WEIR BOONDOCKING offers snowmobile clinics in the Fernie area in the beautiful mountains of the East Kootenays in British Columbia, Canada.
Weir Boondocking gives visiting snowmobilers the confidence and skills to access the Fernie backcountry safely and efficiently with the maximum of fun. Clinics are very skill oriented and focus on improving rider ability and making a sled feel "light".
View and download the new Fernie Snowmobile Trail Map. You can purchase a hard copy at various locations in town including Ghostrider Motorsports and Gearhub.
We have 2 ride categories, the first being Fundamentals of Riding which focuses on development of skills. The 2nd being a Follow Me ride, which focuses on covering specific terrain and will challenge the most skilled riders. On these rides we address skills only when needed, rather than focusing on development. We have a number of places to ride and can tailor each clinic to individual needs. All rides include lunch over a fire.*
We are very familiar with taking new riders and helping them to avoid a lot of the hurdles associated with learning the sport. By slowing things down, we often see a quicker learning curve and less fatigue. This creates a learning environment that will build confidence in the rider.
Sleds are not provided. Bring your own or rent through Ghostrider Motorsports or Gearhub in Fernie.
