Scenic Hikes are in Bloom

Start exploring some of the most rewarding routes easily accessible from town. Need inspiration? Check out the Easy & Family Friendly Hiking brochure or the 2025 Summer Trail Map for more options. Looking for something more challenging? We recommend hiking Castle Rock or Mount Fernie - both are rated as difficult hikes, however the views from the top are well worth it. Island Lake Lodge trails are open for hiking on select days. Check their operations calendar before visiting. Big alpine hikes like Mt Proctor and Mt Hosmer are available too. Some of the other epic ones like Three Sisters and Heiko's might still need a week or two for the snow to melt completely.
