The Nordic trails at Fernie Alpine Resort are groomed for both classic and skate XC skiers. Offering a short and long loop, this tranquil area features flats and hills amongst big cedar and aspen trees in a peaceful landscape.
All these trails are multi-use trails - XC skis, fat bike and snowshoed are all welcome. Responsible dog owners are asked to pick up after their dogs and keep them on leash or under voice control.
The trails are open and free to the public every day throughout the winter ski season (December - April) and are groomed on most days. In lieu of user fees, Fernie Alpine Resort invites visitors to stay, dine, shop or rent gear at their on-mountain locations.
Be forewarned that the initial approach from Parking Lot 4 (approx. 600m) towards Sil trail is labeled double black due to the steep uphill section.
