About the Ghostriders:

The Fernie Ghostriders are a Junior A, Tier 1 Hockey Team, playing in the Kootenay Division of the BCHC. 

Head Coach and General Manager is Chad Scharff, Assistant Coach is Dante Raposo, Trainer is Ashley Springle.

The Ghostrider name comes from the iconic shadow that forms at sunset on Mount Hosmer in Fernie, which is clearest at the start of the hockey season (and during the summer months).

The Ghostriders formerly played in the Eddie Mountain Division of the KIJHL: 

• 2023 - 2024 Kootenay Conference Champions and Eddie Mountain Division Winners
• 2011 - 2012 Division Winners
• Hosts and silver medal winners of the 2010 - 2011 Cyclone Taylor Cup (KIJHL, PIJHL & VIJHL Provincial Championships)
• 2007 - 2008 KIJHL winners, going on to take the bronze medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup
