The Fernie Half Marathon, 3-Runner Relay & 10K Run has become a classic in Southeastern BC.

The all-trail course that winds along the Elk River and follows a community trail system is both challenging and beautiful. With seamless organisation, professional chip timing and easy registration the Fernie Half Marathon is a great choice to end your running season.

Race Registration

Online Registration is now open for both solo and relay runners. Take advantage of Early bird rate until June 30th 2023. Registration is open until Sept 28th, 2023. Racers can pick up their race package from the Park Place Lodge on Sept 30th, 2023

Where to stay in Fernie before the race?

The Park Place Lodge is conveniently located just off Highway 3. Discounted room rates are on offer for all race participants. Fernie has a wide selection of accommodation options ranging from hotel rooms, pod rooms, and private condos, all the way to luxury mountain lodges. 

Fernie 10k & Half Marathon Race Info

There are three options to tackle this event:

  • 21km Solo Half Marathon;
  • 21km 3-Person Relay Half Marathon;
  • 10km Run or Walk;

Race Route

The Half Marathon route follows 21 km of trails along the scenic Elk River, crossing the base of Mount Fernie, wooded areas in Coal Creek, starting and finishing in Fernie’s beautiful James White Park
