The Fernie Frosty Four is a race, but it’s more than just about speed – it’s about having fun and celebrating the end of winter in true Fernie style! While there’s a competitive edge for those who want to push themselves, the emphasis is on enjoying the outdoors, challenging yourself, and embracing the spirit of the season. You can take on the entire race solo, testing your endurance across each stage, or our favourite option is to team up with friends, with each person tackling a different leg of the course. To keep things lighthearted and festive, costumes are encouraged for all participants – get creative and add a bit of flair to your race!

This event strikes the perfect balance between personal challenge and team camaraderie, making it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved. No matter which stage you choose, you’ll be racing through the incredible terrain of Fernie Alpine Resort, and you’re guaranteed a blast with every slide, step, and pedal. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or simply looking for a fun way to wrap up the winter season, the Fernie Frosty Four has something for everyone!

Stage 3 – Nordic Ski  
Stage 4: Fat Bike 

Once the race is over, head to the plaza to celebrate with your team and fellow racers. Enjoy a delicious burger and beverage, included in your entry fee, while you relive the highlights of the day and wait for the awards ceremony. A live DJ will be spinning tunes to keep the good times & good vibes rolling and as you relax and enjoy the post-race festivities with new friends and teammates

Costumes are welcome and cheering from the sidelines is highly encouraged. Come on out and participate or watch the wackiest race in Fernie!
