An evening of film and conversation with Black, racialized, and queer women at the centre.
An evening of conversation and celebration, hosted by Fernie Pride Society.
In attendance will be Salima Stanley-Bhanji, Co-Founder of Humainologie and Filmmaker, and three featured SHADES voices; Tea Fannie, Livvy Walker, and Priscilla Cherry.
SHADES is a film series and platform that celebrates Black, racialized, and queer women and centres their identities, passions, hopes, and contributions to the community. SHADES: Through Her Lens celebrates stories of queer women, femmes, and non-binary folks whose experiences are too often pushed to the edges.

This event is supported thanks to the efforts of Alpine Pathways Psychology, Elk Valley Suicide Task Force, Dr. Marian Ma, Park Place Lodge, and Fernie Pride Society.
