About the Artist
Jacki is a self-taught weaver with seven years of dedicated practice. Raised on a farm, she developed a strong connection to nature, which continues to influence her work through its textures, materials, and organic sensibilities. Creativity runs deeply in her family, shaping her intuitive and hands-on approach to making.
She has participated in the Columbia Basin Culture Tour and received second place in The Art of Adornment’s accessories category for a one-of-a-kind necklace. In addition to her studio practice, Jacki teaches workshops throughout the West Kootenays, including recent sessions at The Arts Station in Fernie. She remains interested in expanding her teaching practice and sharing her skills with new communities.
