Whitewater rafting trips in Fernie generally begin on the May Long Weekend, but are subject to weather and conditions. Earlier trips may be possible - call to enquire!

Whitewater Rafting

You'll be tackling Class 2, 3, and 4 white water as you and your crew lead by an expert raft guide negotiate 16km of wilderness through the raging Elk Canyon. With towering peaks, vertical canyon walls carved into the Rocky Mountains, great water temperatures, and cliff jumping. This popular adventure is best from late June to September. Trips are on the Elk River with Class 2 - 4 rapids throughout the summer. In Spring and early Summer, the Bull River, with Class 2 - 3+ rapids is also available.

Mammoth Rafting

The first Mammoth Rafts in Canada. Light-weight, high-performance six-seater rafts have an instant draining mesh floor and wave punching catamaran tubes that send the raft rocketing high over waves. It resurfaces quickly after charging through a hole. Even the smallest rapid feels sporty in the Mammoth! Trips are on the Elk River with Class 2 - 4 rapids throughout the summer. In Spring and early Summer, the Bull River, with Class 2 - 3+ rapids is also available. 

Ghostrider Family Adventure

Run the famous Ghostrider rapid in a high-performance raft. Hear the legend, surf the wave, paddle, swim and snack your way through the scenic river experience. Suitable for Ages 3+ with a splash level of 2+. The perfect introduction to rafting for the whole family! 

The Ghostrider Adventure runs right through Fernie.

SUPsquatch Tour

SUP-what Tour? SUPsquatch - a 17ft inflatable stand-up paddleboard, for group of 4 - 8 people. Surf it, run river rapids and have the time of your life. This is an amazing and fun activity for families, groups, stags / stagettes, or a team-building activity.

Adaptive Float

Enjoy a mellow Elk River float trip, which offers a leisurely pace and lasts about 35-45 minutes, with no chance of getting splashed (unless you really, really want to).
