Fernie is a popular destination for RV Campers, both as a location to stay and as a stop while passing through on Hwy #3.

The sani-dump facility previously located at the Fernie Visitor Information Centre at the eastern approach to town is no longer available due to its poor condition and the redevelopment of the VIC parking area.

RV visitors have the following options for disposing of their waste:

  • Fernie RV Resort (in town, $10 fee)
  • Sparwood Visitor Information Centre (30km east)
  • Kikomun Provincial Park (43 km west)
  • Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce (95 km West)
