Fernie is developing a great reputation for its culinary delights.
Nevados, a new restaurant in town has added another great option for quality places to eat.
Head chefs Kyle and Jess have created a menu based on South American and Latin fusion. Expect fresh ingredients and mouthwatering flavours! Jess is Columbian, meaning you are getting a truly authentic dining experience.
Local owners, Kurt and Storm have spent the last 12 months meticulously preparing Nevados for the official launch this summer. Nothing has been missed when it comes to the restaurant. Keeping the original red bricks and utilising the old timber beams they have turned the bar and storage rack into an eye-catching multi-purpose installation.
Another welcomed addition has been the upgrade of their patio for a perfect place to enjoy the Fernie summer evenings we all love.
Start your Nevados experience off with a fresh cactus salad and the tasty empanadas! Everything is made in-house and prepped daily by the talented head chefs and kitchen staff.
Other highlights include the soft shell tacos with pulled pork, tequila lime chicken or smoked BC trout. If red meat is your thing, you must try the grilled flank steak, served medium rare a la Argentina.
Contributing to the diverse menu is the creative drinks list. Pisco sours, tasty cocktails and some quality BC beer on tap. The guys have gone all out to make this a unique restaurant and a great addition to Fernie.
Appropriately named, Nevados translates to snow-capped / snow covered mountains. This will definitely be a hot spot for the winter season with its warm vibe and quality food.
If you are in Fernie, be sure to stop by Nevados and check it out. You can find it in the heart of downtown on 2nd Avenue.
