At an Italian table, food and bread are inseparable. People start a meal by nibbling on fresh bread, they use it to wipe a pasta plate clean of a tasty sauce, mop up the juices of a meat dish or soak up a delicious salad dressing.
The Dinner Menu at Loaf is a marriage of what Loaf loves best – real, honest, freshly-made, Italian-inspired food. Loaf's Italian-style pizza dough is handmade and topped with fresh cheese, vegetables and meat – no wonder Loaf’s pizza was voted Fernie’s best pizza in the Best of Fernie awards. Like all Loaf’s products, the pizza dough only contains the core ingredients of flour, water, salt, yeast and olive oil – definitely no artificial preservatives or additives. Pizza dough is nut and dairy free and pizzas can be prepared to suit many diets and allergy restrictions.
About Loaf Bakery
After visiting Fernie in 2003 from London, England, Phil & Claire Gadd fell in love with the area and looked for ways to stay and raise family. In the summer of 2009, the couple moved to Fernie permanently and In less than three months they fitted out new premises on 6th Ave, sourced equipment, got their core team together, and opened the doors.
Loaf Bakery had an incredible, hectic first year of business and was voted Fernie’s ‘New Business of the Year’ in 2010 by the Chamber of Commerce. Originally started as a great little neighbourhood bakery offering a range of artisan breads and pastries prepared from scratch using all-natural ingredients, Loaf has transformed over the years and moved locations to Fernie's Historic Downtown where it is a highlight on the culinary scene offering gourmet Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
