A vagabond turned mailman, Jay Gilday has searched for himself in the depths of Folk, blues, traditional, rock and soul music. The quest continues as Jay takes his experiences as a half Dene, half Canadian Irish youth travelling the roads of Canada, the daily roller-coaster of work, family, and performance and weaves them into song. 

Jay’s live performance is executed with a trained voice and a passion to drive it backed up by a heavy hitting guitar, finger-style or flat-picked, your choice!

The venue is located in a private home in the centre of Fernie, near the Arena. The exact location will provided after ticket purchase.

About Chemin Chez Nous - Home Routes

The concert series provides audiences with the uniquely intimate experience of hearing some of Canada’s finest folk musicians perform from the comfort of a living room (and the occasional hall or venue). Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous was founded in 2007 with the direct purpose of building more infrastructure for Folk Musicians to play more concerts in more communities across Canada. This was achieved by partnering with local community members to create a network of hosts across the country who donate their time and homes, or find appropriate venues to host folk music events in intimate and unique settings.
