A ceramic show studying the bold lines and colours of the Canadian Prairies.
Opening Reception with the artist: 3 to 7 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Exhibit on display in the gallery until July 23rd.
Juliana Rempel’s explores the bold lines and colour of the prairies with clay as medium in her new show, One By One.
The focal piece of the exhibit is the documentation of the artist process through a 150 ceramic platter installation. Each piece represents the steps taken to create a finished work of art – from a blank platter to the final fired piece. While telling the story of a ceramic artist she is exploring how our environment can be deconstructed into pieces accumulated over time.
Also featured in the exhibit are vases with winged pseudo-handles, vessels, and Juliana’s signature wall art that represents symbolic images of the Canadian prairies and beyond.
