Take a crawl through Fernie's historic hotels with an interpretive guide from the Fernie Museum. 

Duration: Approx 2.5 hours
Tickets: $40; PURCHASE ONLINE includes admission to the Museum & 'The Beer from the Mountains' Gallery Exhibit.

The tour starts at the Fernie Museum and loops around downtown, stopping at the Central, and the Northern and finishing at the Fernie Taphouse. Tasting glasses of beer will be served at four locations as part of the tour. 

When prohibition hit Canada, local entrepreneurs did a roaring trade transporting whiskey and other goods between Fernie and the Crowsnest Pass. Events came to a head on September 21, 1922 with a car chase followed by a violent shoot-out which led to a tragic end for Fernie’s bottle king and his young assistant.
