This event is cancelled, Fernie Alpine Resort is closed for the remainder of the season.
Another local’s favourite - the PPP has been going strong since 1984 and is part of a full closing party weekend FERNIVAL!
The tradition continues as individuals or teams of 2-5 people ski (you can also board, telemark or whatever gets you down the hill the fastest), nordic ski, paddle and then run in a fun (yet competitive!) relay race. It's the perfect season ender!
NB FOR REGULAR PARTICIPANTS: Due to the highway construction at Lizard Creek, there will be no bike portion this year, and no solo option.

ALL DETAILS LISTED BELOW ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE:
SKI (4.5km) – Top of Bear Express Chair, down Cedar Bowl & Cedar Trail, finishing below Timber Chair
NORDIC SKI (4km) – From base area, through new Timber Landing Subdivision, linking up with the Silk Trail, past the bottom of Falling Star and back to the Timber Chair.
PADDLE (6km) – (Radio release from Nordic Skiing transition) From Fernie, down the Elk River to the bottom of Ski Hill Road.
RUN (2km) – From the bottom of Ski Hill Road run uphill, through the Timberline Subdivision, through Parking Lot #1 to the finish line in the base.
REGISTRATION & FEES:
Online registration opens in March. $45 plus taxes per person until April 6th. $55 per person from April 7th. Teams must register as a whole.
Save some time and complete your WAIVERS online in advance, required for all team members.
CATEGORIES & RACE INFO/RULES:
Teams of 2 to 5:
5 pm – 9 pm: Check-in, Late Registration & Bib/Bauble Pickup @ Daylodge
*Advance registration is highly recommended! Event Waivers will be available or can be completed online in advance. If all team members have completed an online waiver, only one person needs to check in and pick up bibs and t-shirts.
8 am – 9:30am: Bib/Bauble Pickup @ Daylodge.
NOTE: All teams MUST be checked in and have all their team member’s waivers signed BEFORE 9:30am. NO new registrations allowed on race day.
10 am: All Competitors Meeting (Mandatory) @ Daylodge/Village Plaza
11 am: Race Start @ Top of Bear Chair
12 pm -1 pm (approx) – Racers reaching finish line
5:30pm (approx): Prize Presentation @ Plaza.
