Tunes in the Town is the social event for the Fernie Gravel Grind weekend. Riders, volunteers, sponsors, family, friends and visitors are all welcome to enjoy this lively outdoor event in the heart of downtown.

The evening kicks off with prize giving for the racers, followed by live music from local favourite, Little Bit Good Band, and a headline performance from Rubber Tire Peep Show.

All proceeds from the Beer Garden go directly to trail development in Fernie. Grab a drink, enjoy some tasty bites, and dance the night away while supporting a great cause.

Rubber Tire Peep Show
When experiencing Rubber Tire Peep Show, one may be struck by the inspired authenticity, fused with an improvisational electricity that gives a slight nod to music of the past... once you get it, you can’t forget it. Rubber Tire Peep Show is a Canadian musical collective whose eclectic repertoire spans decades and genres. With deep musical roots and a love of performance, RTPS’ music is infused with jam-band dynamics, country-blues sensibility and rock and roll spirit that has captured audiences across Canada.

Little Bit Good Band
Little Bit Good Band is a high energy rock’n’roll band from Fernie, British Columbia in BC’s Kootenay Rockies. They have a reputation for bringing their unique brand of lively mountain culture and legendary fun times to the welcoming stages and venues of the Kootenays. 

THE RACE

The Fernie Gravel Grind is a weekend long gravel cycling experience located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, home to some of the best gravel riding that Canada has to offer. 

Over the course of the weekend, riders will race up picturesque mountain roads, experience historical downtown Fernie and connect with a growing community of Canadian gravel cyclists. Following their mission, Anything Goes With Gravel, the race itself is open to anyone and everyone and offers multiple distances, race categories and fun activities for the whole family all weekend long.
