Visitor Centre Hours: Open Monday to Friday 9:30am - 5:00pm until December 14, 2018, then Tuesday to Saturday 9:30am - 5:00pm December 15th till April 14th. From April 15th till May 17th open Monday to Friday 9:30am - 5:00pm. May 18th open daily 9:30am to 5:00pm till September 3rd. Then back to Monday - Friday during Fall season.
The Main Visitor Centre is on Highway 3 just east of town by the Oil Derrick at the Chamber of Commerce Building. has a large parking area, washroom facilities, picnic tables, trails, indoor seating area with wifi, and a dog walking area. We are situated at the trailhead for Fairy Creek and Mount Proctor trails, see hiking and mountain biking information. Amongst the extensive range of free local information offered at the main Visitor Centre, a wide range of local maps, books and some local gifts are available for sale.
We are pleased to offer a Sani-Dump facility for RV travellers only $2.
Open daily from 10:00am to 5:30pm.
The Fernie Museum in Historic Downtown on the corner of 2nd Avenue & 5th Street also contains a small Visitor Centre and gift shop.
