If you are new to Fernie, you'll probably want to know what to do in town. The Fernie Chamber of Commerce manages two Visitor Information Centres in town to help visitors.

Visitor Centre Hours:
December 15th - April 14th: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30am - 5:00pm.
April 15th - May 17th: Monday to Friday 9:30am - 5:00pm.
The Main Visitor Centre is on Highway 3 just east of town by the Oil Derrick at the Chamber of Commerce Building. has a large parking area, washroom facilities, picnic tables, trails, indoor seating area with wifi, and a dog walking area. We are situated at the trailhead for Fairy Creek and Mount Proctor trails, see hiking and mountain biking information. Amongst the extensive range of free local information offered at the main Visitor Centre, a wide range of local maps, books and some local gifts are available for sale.
We are pleased to offer a Sani-Dump facility for RV travellers only $2.
Open daily from 10:00am to 5:30pm.
The Fernie Museum in Historic Downtown on the corner of 2nd Avenue & 5th Street also contains a small Visitor Centre and gift shop.
