Hockey, Skating & Curling

Is there anything more satisfyingly Canadian than an appreciation for the art of ice sports? In Fernie, we take our hockey, curling, and skating to heart.

From Rink to Rockies, Finding Glory on the Ice

Skates slicing, stones sliding, or pucks smashing — we love all the sights, sounds, and smells of playing on fresh ice. We are Canadian after all, maybe it's just in our DNA. Fernie is equipped for it all. With indoor rinks at the Fernie Memorial Arena and ponds that are perfect for a skate or shinny around town throughout winter, you'll find a favourite spot. Want to know the best places? Make friends with the locals, they'll know when conditions are best.
