Jump in, the Water's Great

Dive into refreshing summer fun at the lakes, rivers, or Fernie's splash park. On warm days, the surrounding valley offers beautiful areas where you can swim, paddle, or simply soak up the views from the shore. For year-round indoor swimming, the Fernie Aquatic Centre provides a full range of pools, from kid-friendly splash areas to lanes for a proper workout.

Whether you’re cooling off outside or enjoying the amenities indoors, swimming in Fernie is a great way to unwind, play, and enjoy the best of both mountain and community life.

  • Float from Annex Park to Dogwood Park, always wear a life jacket

Silver Spring Lakes

  • Notice — active logging road, use extreme caution and yield to industrial trucks
  • Just a short hike to the first lake
  • New composting toilet at first lake
  • Overnight camping not encouraged at first lake
