Designer and owner Desiree gained her experience in the industry at The Green Petal in Fernie, eventually taking over the wedding portion of the business in May of 2022.
Their flowers are sourced from within British Columbia first, with some of them grown in their own back yard cutting garden! Their goal is to lower the impact of the flower industry as much as possible.
Visit their shop for a large selection of gifts, plants and to also shop their consignment clothing. Located in Downtown Sparwood, a 20 minutes drive from Fernie.

ABOUT DESIREE:
Hi, I’m Desiree and I’m the owner and floral designer for Moonlight Flowers! I grew up in Saskatchewan with a great love of plants, nature & the outdoors. My love grew while working for a large garden centre in Vancouver, becoming fully immersed in the horticulture industry for the 6 years I worked there.
This started an even deeper love and passion for flowers and all things botanical, eventually leading me to floristry. Using my background in horticulture, I have begun developing my own cutting garden for the store and weddings so that I have more freedom with what I can design with. For me, flowers are more than an element to a design. They speak in movement and textures and I utilize how they grow in the landscape in my designing process.
