King of the Castle & Trails in Motion Film Festival
When: Sunday, July 2nd, 2017
About:  Organised by Stag Leap Running Co., challenging racers to the fast climb to the top of Castle Rocks! Followed by a fun showing of this years Trails in Motion Film Festival at The Fernie Arts Station.

Elk Valley Ultra
When: Saturday, July 29th, 2017
About: Stag Leap Running Co. is bringing back the Ultra to Fernie in 2017! This high-vertical, challenging 50km Solo or Relay Ultra starts and finishes in Annex Park and takes in the spectacular Mt Fernie, Island Lake Lodge and Mt Fernie Provincial Park trails.

The Lost Boys Lungbuster Hill Climb
When: TBD, was August 6th in 2016
The ultimate challenge for hard core climbers. This challenging mountain race starts at the base area of the Fernie Alpine Resort & climbs to the top of the Timber Express Chairlift - 640 vertical metres (2,100 ft). The race is followed by a delicious brunch & award presentation at the spectacular Lost Boys Café.

When: Sunday, September 3rd, 2017
About: Fernie’s favourite Mountain Duathlon, offering Trail Running and Mountain Biking, as a Soloist or a Team. Kid’s Route also available.

Fernie Half Marathon, Relay & 10km
When: Sunday, October 1st, 2017
About: This race has become a classic in southeastern BC with its all-trail course that winds along the Elk River. A perfect introduction to racing, or a great finale to end your season.
