No, you don't want to visit Fernie this winter

Summer is long gone and many of us are thinking about the next getaway, or even getting ready for their annual ski vacation. Ask any local if you should come to Fernie this winter and they may tell you to look elsewhere. Here's why... ;-)

The Fernie Alpine Resort is super crowded...

and you run the risk of drowning....

There's literally nothing fun to do here at all.

And unless you know how to ski or snowboard you'll be stuck at your hotel.

Finding winter wonderland is a myth

You could go for a snowshoe hike, but the views are hardly worth the effort. Best to stay in town.

We may have forgotten to mention that Fernie is just a dull and dusty old mining town.

You'll be tense for the whole time here and unable to relax.

The food and dining options here are a bit bland and boring.

No, you really won't like it here at all.
