Join the Fernie Nordic Society for a day of fun 'races', and more!

NEW for 2025: Biathlon! 

Come to ski, come to race, or come to cheer! Compete against your friends and enjoy the great trails. An annual community event held at the beautiful Elk Valley Nordic Centre.

Participation is open to all skiers, club members or non-members alike, all ages and abilities. The keyword here is FUN, funny hat or costumes encouraged!

CATEGORIES

  • 3.7km - Lizard Lookout & Cedar Loop
  • 7.5km - Galloway Loop
  • Chariot Glide - Lizard Lookout & Cedar Loop
  • NEW! Biathlon:
    • An optional event, following the other races: a ski loop followed by shooting one of the EcoAims ‘rifles’. Test your endurance! For adults and young skiers 9+.

DETAILS

  • All races are mass start
  • Registration at 10am at the Warming Hut
  • First race will begin promptly at 10:30am
  • A volunteer-run event
  • No cost to register, donations welcome
  • $15 FNS Trail Pass required for non-members
  • Lunch available by donation
