It reduces air pollution and GHG emissions by avoiding personal vehicle usage, and reduces stress and improves health and wellness through exercise and by connecting people with nature, fresh air and natural spaces, and builds community resiliency through personal interactions and less impact on infrastructure.

In the 2023 Winter, Spring, and Fall GoByBike Weeks, 61,187 people in British Columbia logged 2,313,928 kilometers and saved 501,660 kilograms of greenhouse gases! This is equivalent to 112 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year (source).
