Ready to compete, have fun, and win incredible prizes?

Head to the hill for Hockey Days in Fernie - an action-packed weekend of Hockey featuring the Fernie Ghostriders.

Saturday will feature a skills competition open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, this is your chance to showcase your talent and have a blast while competing for awesome prizes.

On Saturday evening, cheer on local junior hockey team, the Fernie Ghostriders, as they take on the Creston Valley Thundercats at Fernie Memorial Arena,

On Sunday, meet the members of the Fernie Ghostriders in the Fernie Alpine Resort Plaza.  It’s going to be a weekend of jam-packed hockey fun.

The Challenges (Saturday at the Bear's Den):

Earn draw prize entries for participation and placing in these exciting events:

    • Goalie Accuracy Shootout: Target the four corners of the net and hit them in the fastest time. Can you score a perfect round?
    • Hardest Shot: Show off your raw power and see who can deliver the hardest shot!
    • Puck Handling Drill: Navigate through obstacles and demonstrate your puck control in this fast-paced challenge.

Draw Prizes:

    • Calgary Flames Tickets (donated by Coca-Cola) – Experience the NHL live!
    • Fernie Ghostriders Tickets (donated by The Fernie Ghostriders) – Cheer on the Ghostriders vs. Creston that same night!
    • And More! – Win a Calgary Flames jersey, hats, and more! (Donated by Coca-Cola and Corona)

Participation is FREE! (Make sure to complete an event waiver before competing.)

How to Win?

Prizes will be awarded via random draws, but the more you participate, the more chances you have to win!

    • 1 entry for participating in each challenge (up to 3 entries if you do all 3 challenges)
    • Bonus Entries: Earn extra entries for placing in the top 5 of each event:
      • 1st place: 5 bonus entries
      • 2nd place: 4 bonus entries
      • 3rd place: 3 bonus entries
      • 4th place: 2 bonus entries
      • 5th place: 1 bonus entry
    • Show Your Colours: Wear a jersey from your team (or favourite team) and get 1 extra entry (2 if you wear a Fernie Ghostriders or Calgary Flames jersey). Hockey gear optional … actually no, ski/ride safely – all you need is a jersey!

Event Schedule:

SATURDAY

Skills challenges at the Bears Den:

    • 10:30–11:30 AM: Goalie Accuracy Shootout
    • 12:00–1:00 PM: Hardest Shot
    • 1:30–2:30 PM: Puck Handling Drill

Drop by anytime during these hours and take your turn!  Draws for the prizes will take place at 3 PM.

7:00 PM: Ghostriders vs. Thunder Cats at Fernie Memorial Arena

SUNDAY

 Meet-and-Greet with Local Fernie Ghostriders

    • Time TBD: Get up close with some of your favourite Fernie Ghostriders players!
