Canadian roots rock mashup with a night of music not to be missed.
If you look carefully enough, via clues like this lyric from Run Rabbit Run, the underlying thread running through the rustic alt. country and poignant folk songs of Ryland Moranz will reveal itself as the passage of time.
Populated by real and imagined heroes and villains, the everyday and the extraordinary, the trials of life and matters of the heart, Ryland’s compositions span bygone days, the here and now, and what may yet be to come, both for himself and for us all. Ryland’s beautiful sophomore recording, XO, 1945 was released January 2021.
Wild Honey is an all-female roots trio based in the East Kootenays. The band of busy mothers has been together for a decade, and has just released their second album, an EP titled ‘Let’s Be Cowboys’. Always inspired by their mountain towns and love of the outdoors, Shelby, Jessica, and Laura were searching for a sound that celebrated these passions. The honest, fragile lyrics in songs like ‘Let it Roll’ and ‘Caged Bird’ tenderly highlight the mental health crisis faced by so many after the isolation of the pandemic.
