Subterranean - Official Trailer from Peg Leg Films on Vimeo.
The film follows two teams of gritty cavers (one near Fernie and one on Vancouver Island) as they crawl, rappel, and eventually dive through underground passages in pursuit of breaking records for the longest and deepest caves in the country. With few places on Earth left to discover, caving may be the last remaining activity of true exploration, and this film brings adventure to the big screen in an intimate and awe-inspiring cinematic experience.
Subterranean premiered at the Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto and recently won "Best Film About Adventure and Exploration" at the Ladek Mountain Fim Festival.
Members of the Bisaro Project caving team will be in attendance for Q&A. Screening benefits the Alberta Speleological Society.
Warning, coarse language (because cavers do seem to swear a lot).
