Accessibility

Serene lake surrounded by lush greenery and mountains under a cloudy sky, with a walking path and 2 people in the distance, one of them in a wheelchair..

Fernie is committed to making its natural beauty and experiences accessible to all visitors. Many local accommodations, restaurants, and experiences offer wheelchair-accessible entrances, washrooms, and parking. Popular trails like the Easy Beaver or Fernie Valley Pathway and parks such as Rotary Park, provide accessible outdoor options for differing ability levels.

If you have specific accessibility questions, contact or pop by our Visitor Information Centre. The team is happy to help you find suitable options that meet your requirements.

Community Spirit

At the heart of Fernie is a shared respect for people and place. From the ski hill to the downtown core, you’ll experience the down-to-earth hospitality that defines our community. We welcome everyone to explore, connect, and feel like a part of Fernie, just as you are. We hope you’ll share that same spirit of respect and kindness during your stay.
