Norbury Lake Provincial Park is just under an hour west of Fernie along the Wardner-Fort Steele Road.
BC Parks Response to COVID-19
BC Parks are now open for day use and Discover Camping reservations are available again as of May 25, 2020. Please note – reservations are available 2-months in advance of an arrival date, on a rolling window. Most provincial campgrounds and backcountry camping are open as of June 1, 2020. Reservations MUST be made online or by calling 1-800-689-902. Reservations cannot be made by email.
IMPORTANT: Preferential access to camping will be given to BC-residents for the 2020 camping season. Day-use of parks are open to everyone whether from BC or other provinces.
Just south of Fort Steele Heritage Town and close to the Kootenay Trout Hatchery, the park encompasses Peckham’s Lake and fronts on Norbury Lake. Beach areas, water sports and pleasant walking trails. Rainbow trout in Peckham’s Lake. Motorized boats not permitted on the lake.
About Norbury Lake Provincial Park Campground
Campground is officially open from May 19th to September 15th.
Off-season camping is available in areas, if accessible. There are no facilities open or fees to camp during the off-season.
